ArkFile Essentials and Complete for iPhone are designed to work offline. Reading activity, searches, bookmarks, installed content state, and local library browsing stay on your device by default. The iPhone app does not require an ArkFile account for purchase, restore, or offline reading.
What This Policy Covers
This policy covers ArkFile Essentials and Complete on iPhone, the ArkFile website, support requests, public legal and compliance pages, purchase validation, and any private or legacy web account/download services that remain reachable.
Information We Collect
- App Store purchase validation: When you buy, restore, upgrade, or request download access for ArkFile Essentials or Complete, Apple processes the purchase. ArkFile may receive StoreKit transaction identifiers, signed transaction data, product ID, bundle ID, and validation status solely to confirm access and issue short-lived content download tokens.
- Support information: If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, device model, iOS version, app version, screenshots, diagnostics, or logs.
- Website and service logs: Our hosting and security services may log IP address, user agent, timestamps, requested URLs, rate-limit events, and error/security events.
- Website account data: If you use private or legacy ArkFile web account pages, we may process email address, password hash, account status, verification status, entitlement status, and related service logs.
- Payment data: Apple handles iPhone App Store payment details. Stripe may handle payment details for private or legacy website purchase flows. ArkFile does not store payment-card numbers.
How We Use Information
- To validate ArkFile Essentials, Complete, or upgrade purchase and restore status.
- To provide user-triggered content download access.
- To answer support, privacy, license, attribution, and legal compliance requests.
- To protect the service from abuse, fraud, unauthorized downloads, credential sharing, and security incidents.
- To maintain required business, tax, legal, security, and transaction records.
Offline App Behavior
Installed Essentials and Complete content remains usable offline while the applicable entitlement remains active. Local Sharing is user-triggered; when you turn it on, nearby devices on the same network can access the content you choose to share from your iPhone. ArkFile does not use iPhone reading activity for advertising tracking.
Third-Party Services
- Apple: App Store purchase processing, StoreKit purchase validation, and refund handling.
- Cloudflare: Website hosting, security, and service delivery logs.
- Google Fonts: The website may request fonts from Google, which can expose standard browser request information to Google.
- Stripe: Private or legacy website payment processing, where those flows are used.
Retention and Deletion
We keep support messages and service records only as long as needed for support, security, legal, tax, fraud-prevention, operational, or dispute-resolution purposes. You can request access to or deletion of personal information by contacting support. Some records may need to be retained where required by law or needed to protect the service.
Privacy Choices
- You can use installed ArkFile Essentials and Complete content offline after download while the applicable entitlement remains active.
- You can choose whether to contact support and what diagnostics or screenshots to send.
- You can request deletion of website account data, subject to required retention limits.
- Apple controls App Store purchase history and App Store refund requests.
